Email Field
The Email field type is used to store and validate electronic mail addresses. It ensures that user input follows standard email syntax (e.g., containing @ and .) and provides integrated communication triggers within the SnapApp interface.
Email Field Properties
Note: Every field in SnapApp shares a set of universal properties, such as Display and Edit settings, that are configured during creation.

Basic Properties
The Basic Properties tab establishes the field’s identity and its relationship to the parent object.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Data Type | Set to Email. This enables syntax validation and communication shortcuts. |
| Object | The parent object this field belongs to. |
| Label | The user-facing name, such as “Customer Email” or “Support Contact”. |
| Column Name | Prepopulated from the Label (e.g., primary_contact_email). |
| Description | Internal notes explaining the source or intended use of this email address. |
Data Type Properties
When the Email data type is selected, the following specific option becomes available in the Data Type Properties section:
- Send Button: A checkbox that, when enabled, places a clickable icon next to the email address in the application interface.

Communication Interface
SnapApp simplifies outreach by providing a built-in mailing tool. When a user clicks the Send Email icon next to an email field, the platform opens a Popup Modal specialized for drafting messages.
Modal Features:
- Template Selection: Choose from predefined email templates to quickly populate your message.
- From/Reply To: These fields are automatically set based on your system configuration (e.g.,
info@snapapp.ai). - Recipient Prepopulation: The To field is automatically filled with the email address from the record.
- Full Compose Suite: Includes standard fields for Cc, Bcc, and Subject.
- Body: A section allowing for formatted text (Bold, Italics, Lists, etc.) and hyperlinks.
- AI Integration: The Generate Text option allows users to utilize AI for drafting or refining email content.
- Attachments: Use the Add Attachments button to upload and include files with your message.

Thank you for following these steps to configure your SnapApp components. Building a well-structured data environment is the first step toward creating a powerful, automated application that scales with your needs.
