Admin Chat
The Admin Chat serves as the central “Public Square” for your application. The Admin Chat is a global channel where all users of the app can communicate in real-time.
It acts as both a community discussion board and a direct line to the app’s administrators for support and feedback.

What is Admin Chat?
The Admin Chat is a persistent, real-time messaging interface.
- For Users: It’s a place to ask questions, report issues, or coordinate with the team on a high level.
- For Admins: It’s a command center to monitor user engagement, provide instant support, and broadcast system-wide updates.
How the Chat Works
The chat is built for speed and visibility across the entire application environment.
1. Global Visibility
Every message sent in the Admin Chat is visible to all users who have permission to access the chat in that application. This allows users to help each other.
2. Live Presence
The chat shows who is currently “Active” in the app. This creates a sense of a “live” environment.
3. Media & Attachments
Users can paste screenshots or drag-and-drop files directly into the chat. This is the primary way users “show” admins a bug or a specific UI issue they are encountering.
Configuration & Access Control
As a builder, you control who can access the Admin Chat.
Enabling the Module
Admin Chat is controlled at the Application level:
- Navigate to Application Settings > Feature Toggles.
- Enable Internal Messaging / Admin Chat.
- Once enabled, the chat icon will appear in the application’s navigation or side panel.
Permission Logic
Access is managed via Roles and Permissions. You can define:
- Who can see the chat: Usually granted to all internal users.
- Who can post: You might restrict certain guest roles to “Read Only.”
- Who can moderate: Only users with high-level permissions can delete messages or clear the chat history.
