Inspector View

The Inspector View is a specialized single-record view in SnapApp designed for data validation and compliance. It serves as the primary interface for Human-in-the-Loop workflows, allowing users to examine attachments, verify metadata, and edit entities extracted via Document AI. view

General & View Configuration

When setting up an Inspector View, you must define the foundational data structure and layout.

General Settings

  • View Name & Slug: Define the display name and the URL-friendly identifier for the view.
  • Application & Object: Associate the view with a specific application and the data object it will inspect.

View Layout

  • Fields: Select which data fields from the object should be visible alongside the file.
  • Grouping & Ordering: Organize data using aggregate functions (Sum, Count, Average) or specific sort orders.
  • Header & Sidebar: Toggle the visibility of the header and navigation sidebar to maximize the inspection workspace.

Inspector-Specific Settings

These settings control how the Document AI and attachment interface behave.

Setting Description
Inspector File Source Choose between the primary Object file or Child Attachments.
Default Grouping Mode Set extracted metadata sections to appear Expanded or Collapsed by default.
Warning/Danger Score Set numerical thresholds to flag low-confidence extractions for manual review.
Extraction Score Display Choose to hide or show detailed confidence scores for all or only required entities.
DocAI Validation Enable this checkbox specifically to validate files of the DocAI type.

Button Configurations

  • View Buttons: Toggle global actions like Print, Filter, or Add New.
  • Record Buttons: Configure individual record actions such as Edit, Clone, Favorite, or Delete.

Interaction Settings

  • Feed Settings: Enable activity tracking to see a history of changes made during the inspection process.
  • Mobile Type: Optimize the inspector layout for mobile device displays.

Lifecycle Management

To manage your Inspector View after the initial setup:

  1. Previewing: Test the user experience and Document AI extraction display before going live. preview_view
  2. Publishing: Use the Publish button to push your configurations to the live application. view_publish
  3. Editing: Return to the View Builder at any time to adjust scoring thresholds or field visibility. edit
  4. Deleting: Remove unnecessary views through the Settings panel. delete-view

Important: High-sensitivity workflows should set the Warning/Danger Score thresholds conservatively to ensure that any document with uncertain extraction is flagged for a manual human check.

Different features of Inspector View Builder

General Settings Description
View Type To select the type of view.
Application ID To select the application for which you want to create the view.
Object The object for which the object is created.
View Name This will be the name of your view.
Slug The name that will be a part of URL of that view.
View Configuration Description
Fields To add fields which you want to show in your view.
Group By To apply some aggregate functions like created by, owner id etc. to group values.
Order By To sort data on the basis of provided function or function value.
Hide Sidebar By clicking this checkbox, you can hide the sidebar from the view.
Show Header By clicking this checkbox, you can show header in your view
Group Aggregate To choose aggregate function like Count, Sum, Average, Min, Max for the records.
Visible Rows You can configure the number of visible rows in your view.
Inspector Settings Description
Inspector File Source To choose the source of file for inspection like object or child attachment. By choosing object, the file of the record will be taken into consideration. While choosing child attachments, you have to attach file for being inspected.
Default Grouping Mode This will change the grouping mode of the extracted entities(metadata) like expanded or collapsed.
Attachments Order By If you choose child attachments as file source, you can order them by ascending or descending way.
Attachments Group By To apply any aggregate function for grouping of attachments.
Expanded Sections If you choose default grouping mode as expanded, you can choose Extracted Entities, Document Metadata or Attachment Metadata on the basis of your file source.
Warning Score This score is based upon the extraction of data. On the basis of this, you can check your extraction score whether in warning level.
Danger Score This score is based upon the extraction of data. On the basis of this, you can check your extraction level whether in danger level.
Extraction Score Display To choose whether you want to display your extraction score in extracted details.By default it is hidden. To see extraction score details, you can choose All Entities Extraction Score with Details or Required Entities Extraction Score with Details
Document AI Validation To validate any file of DocAI type, you have to click this checkbox.
Edit Images If you choose image for validation, you can edit that image.
Security Settings Description
Visibliity To select the visibility of the view i.e. either Public or Private
Advanced Settings Description
Mobile Type This will select the view in mobile.
View Buttons The buttons available for the view like print, filter, add new etc. You can also choose which view buttons to display in your view.
Record Buttons The buttons available for the records in the detail-view like edit, clone, favorite, delete etc. You can also choose which view buttons to display in your view.
Record Button Labels This will add a label to the record buttons.
Feed Settings Description
Show Feed This is to enable feed tracking in your view. By default it is Do not display.
UI Customization Description
Custom Labels You can add custom labels for the existing record and view buttons.
Custom Buttons You can also add custom buttons for your view.
Related View Settings Description
Related View Settings To change the settings of the related views.
