YesNo Field

The YesNo field type is a boolean (True/False) toggle used for binary selections. It is ideal for “Yes/No” questions, “True/False” statements, or simple “On/Off” toggles within your application forms.

Basic Properties

The Basic Properties tab establishes the field’s identity and its relationship to the parent object.

Property Description
Data Type Set to YesNo. This enables binary selection logic.
Object The parent object this field belongs to.
Label The user-facing name, such as “Is Active?” or “Paperwork Completed?”.
Column Name Prepopulated from the Label (e.g., paperwork_completed).
Description Internal notes explaining the business logic behind the toggle.

Data Type Properties

When the YesNo data type is selected, you can customize how the input is rendered and labeled for the user:

  • Input Mode: A dropdown menu that determines the UI component used for selection (see Input Interface Options).
  • Yes Value: Enter custom text to represent a yes value (e.g., “Agree,” “Paid,” “Yes”).
  • No Value: Enter custom text to represent a no value (e.g., “Disagree,” “Unpaid,” “No”).

Input Interface Options

The appearance of the field during editing changes based on the selected Input Mode. This allows you to choose the component that best fits your form’s layout and user experience.

1. Buttons

3. Checkbox

4. Radio

5. Auto Mode:

When selected, SnapApp automatically chooses the most appropriate component based on the overall form layout.
