Time Field
The Time field type is used to capture specific clock times independently of a calendar date. It is ideal for scheduling recurring events, shift start times, or logging durations where only the time of day is relevant.
Time Field Properties
Note: Every field in SnapApp shares a set of universal properties, such as Display and Edit settings, that are configured during creation.

Basic Properties
The Basic Properties tab establishes the field’s identity and database mapping.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Data Type | Set to Time. This enables a clock-based picker UI. |
| Object | The parent object this field belongs to. |
| Label | The user-facing name, such as “Shift Start” or “Opening Time”. |
| Column Name | Prepopulated from the Label (e.g., shift_start_time). |
| Description | Internal notes explaining the field’s purpose or business logic. |
Data Type Properties
When the Time data type is selected, the following specific configurations are available in the Data Type Properties section:
- Ignore Seconds: A checkbox that, when enabled, removes the seconds component from the UI and storage. The interface will only show hours and minutes (e.g.,
14:30). - Military Time: A checkbox that toggles the display between a 12-hour (AM/PM) format and a 24-hour (Military) format.
- Military Time Reference: | 12-Hour Format | Military Time (24-Hour) | | :— | :— | | 8:00 AM | 08:00 | | 1:00 PM | 13:00 | | 11:30 PM | 23:30 |

Thank you for following these steps to configure your SnapApp components. Building a well-structured data environment is the first step toward creating a powerful, automated application that scales with your needs.
