Progress Bar Field
The Progress Bar field type is a visual data component used to track the completion percentage of tasks, projects, or goals. It provides an intuitive way for users to see how close a record is to completion, supporting both manual input and automated progress calculations.
Progress Bar Field Properties
Note: Every field in SnapApp shares a set of universal properties, such as Display and Edit settings, that are configured during creation.

Basic Properties
The Basic Properties tab establishes the field’s identity and its relationship to the parent object.
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Data Type | Set to Progress Bar. This enables the visualization engine for completion tracking. |
| Object | The parent object this field belongs to. |
| Label | The user-facing name, such as “Project Completion” or “Course Progress”. |
| Column Name | Prepopulated from the Label (e.g., overall_completion_status). |
| Description | Internal notes explaining the logic or milestones represented by this progress bar. |
Data Type Properties
When the Progress Bar data type is selected, the following specialized configuration becomes available to control user interaction:
- Input Mode: Determines how data is modified in Edit mode.
- Slider: Provides a draggable handle for visual adjustment.
- Value: Provides a standard numeric input box for typing an exact number.

Input Interface Options
The appearance of the field during editing changes based on the selected Input Mode:
1. Slider Mode
This mode features a horizontal track with a draggable circular handle. It is ideal for quick, visual updates where exact precision is less critical than the general status.

2. Value Mode
This mode provides a clean numeric input box. It is best suited for scenarios requiring precise percentage reporting.

Thank you for following these steps to configure your SnapApp components. Building a well-structured data environment is the first step toward creating a powerful, automated application that scales with your needs.
