Create and Import your data and configurations from other applications or sources:

What is a Package?

Packages are ways to import and export data and configurations between SnapApp instances and applications.

It is also possible to use the CLI to manually create and import packages between SnapApp environments

Manage Packages

To Create a Package:

  1. Open settings from the User menu.
  2. Select Packages  from the Automation  dropdown menu.
  3. Select + Add New on the list view header.
  4. Select the Add button on the Package Components.
    1. Add the Object ID for the data or views you wish to package.
    2. Fill out the required fields and hit Save
  5. Repeat the step above until all objects and or data have been added to the package.
  6. Make sure to add a package component for every item otherwise it will not be included

  7. Click Save to create the data store

To Upload a Package:

  1. Open settings from the User menu.
  2. Select Packages  from the Automation  dropdown menu.
  3. Select Install Package on the list view header.
  4. Select the Upload button and select the package file from your system.
  5. Click Install to start loading the package components.

Delete a Package

To delete a Package:

  1. Open settings from the User menu.
  2. Select Packages from the Automation menu.
  3. Search for the Package in the list that you want to delete.
  4. Click the delete button. To see the delete button, you must have Delete options on the objects in one of the permission sets assigned to your user role.
