Create a Workflow

Required only if multiple steps are needed. Otherwise, you can call as an Action

  • Navigate to Settings from the User menu of the top bar.

Open-settings

  • Tap on Workflow from the Automation of the left navigation bar.

Workflow-Dropdown

  • Tap on + Add New in the top header of the Actions list view.

  • Fill out the required fields and hit Save.

Add an Action

  1. Navigate to Settings from the User menu of the top bar.

  1. Tap on Actions from the Automation of the left navigation bar.

Action-Dropdown

  1. Tap on + Add New in the top header of the Actions list view.

  1. Configure the Actions SMS settings.
Note: Select *Type* > *Notification* > *SMS*
  • Name - Defines the name of the SMS Action. This is the name used by the application to identify the Action.
  • Description - It allows users to provide a brief description of the Action.
  • Type - Defines the list of supported actions.
  • Body - Defines the text body of SMS.
  • To Phones - Stores the group of fields or the field to which the SMS should be sent
  • Workflow Sequence - stores the workflo sequence
  • Workflow ID - select the predefined Workflow from the existing workflow list.

Fill-Details

  1. To save the details, tap on Save.

Add a Custom Button to View

Note: If the type of Workflow is **API**
  1. Navigate to Settings from the User menu of the top bar.
  2. Select View from the UX of the left navigation bar.
  3. Open the view where you want to add the button using the View Builder
  4. Create a custom button to call the workflow or workflow action.
  5. Provide a Button Name. This button name will be displayed in the view.
  6. Add an Icon that makes sense to this action
  7. Select the URL: User can select Workflow or Action depending on what they have created previously.
  8. For Actions: In the Action Field, choose the Action that was previously created
  9. For Workflows: In the workflow field, select the Workflow that was previously created from the dropdown
  10. Set Target to be Background and toggle the Active checkbox.
  11. Then Click on Save

View the SMS Workflow Action Configuration

  1. Open Settings from the User menu.
  2. Select Actions from the Automation menu.
  3. Select the Actions in the list that you want to view.
  4. Click the Actions name or ID to be taken to the detail view.

Delete an SMS Workflow Action

  1. Open Settings from the User menu.
  2. Select Action from the Automation menu.
  3. Search for the Action in the list that you want to delete.
  4. Click the Delete button. To see the Delete button, you must have the Delete permission.
