Create and manage sharing rules as described in the following sections:
What is a Sharing Rule?
Sharing rules are a way to control the flow of data between users or queues. This conbe done with a combination of Data Access Roles or can be based on Record level rules.
Configure a Sharing Rule
Create a Sharing Rule:
- From Access Control dropdown select Sharing Rules.
- Select + Add New from the Sharing Rules table header.
- Fill in the required information.
- Rule Type dropdown.
Rule Type Description Record Select the user you wish to assign to the queue. If they are not present you may add a user by clicking + Add New Item in the dropdown. Data Access Role This is a check box which signifies the members status in the queue. - Share with Type dropdown.
Share Type Description User Select the user you wish to assign to the queue. If they are not present you may add a user by clicking + Add New Item in the dropdown. Queue This is a check box which signifies the members status in the queue. - Click Save to save your configurations.
Edit a Sharing Rule:
- From the Sharing Rule list view select the edit pencil on the right hand side of the Sharing Rule you wish to configure.
- Make your edits.
- Click Save to save your configurations.
Delete a Sharing Rule
To delete a Sharing Rule:
- Open settings from the User menu.
- Select Sharing Rules from the Access Control menu.
- Search the Sharing Rule in the list that you want to delete.
- Click the delete button. To see the delete button, you must have Delete options on the object in one of the permission sets assigned to your user role.
